Job Summary

Provides competency-based quality instruction in accordance with the stated philosophy and objectives of the College. Assignment may include evening or off-campus teaching, individualized and/or competency-based instruction and/or distance learning.

MKT 110-Principles of Marketing, Monday/Wednesday 12:45-2:45 pm and/or
MKT 121-Digital Marketing, Tuesday/Thursday 9:40-11:05 am

Other Marketing classes may be added with enrollment needs.

Essential Functions

Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

Required Qualifications

Master’s in field OR
related Master’s with 18 semester credits of courses in field beyond the introductory principles level OR
Bachelor’s degree in field with documentation in 2 or more areas: Professional certification, 2 years in-field professional employment, Teaching excellence, Research & publication, 18 credits or equivalent relevant coursework beyond Bachelor’s.

Desired Qualifications

At least 2 years of work experience in Marketing related activities, such as advertising, customer relationship management, content writing and design, social media, digital marketing, selling, sales management, and small business marketing.
Experience in teaching, training/development and/or public speaking, in applicable areas.
Quality Improvement training.
Ability to use and apply alternative instructional delivery systems to enhance learning.
Experience in curriculum development and learning assessment.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and deliver public presentations.
Ability to work as a team member, as well as, taking leadership responsibility.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrate involvement in networking through social and/or professional associations.
Demonstrate effectiveness working with populations having diverse values, and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.

Fall 2019 (August 21-December 12)
