♦ Building Supervisor
-To be considered for this position, students must have worked a minimum of 1 semester in the Recreational Sports program.
-Candidates must apply, be interviewed, be willing to attend all designated training sessions such as shadowing and executing scenarios.
-Must be First Aid & CPR/AED certified to address injuries and emergency situations.
-Must be willing to become Bloodborne Pathogen certified (provided by SUNY Cortland).
-Job duties include supervising building and employees of the Student Life Center including Open Recreation, Outdoor Pursuits and Fitness staff.
-Must follow proper procedure when staff does not show to ensure building and patron safety.
-Discipline staff and any participants who do not act in accordance with department and college policies and enforce all rules and regulations.
-Must be willing to evaluate fellow staff members.
-Possessing a general knowledge of Open Recreation rules and policies, problem solving skills and excellent customer service skills.
-Morning, afternoon, night and weekend hours required
-Building supervisors are responsible for opening and closing the facility starting at 5:45am and concluding at 12:00a.m.
-First responders during an emergency situation.

Required Qualifications

-To be considered for this position, students must have worked a minimum of 1 semester in the Recreational Sports program.

-Must be CPR/AED/First Aid Certified at start of position

Preferred Qualifications

-Supervisory experience
-Experience with customer service
