Job Description/Duties:

**This position is on-call.
Under general supervision, performs various duties in connection with scheduled events at the Parks Alumni House:
-Coordinate with Events Assistant to ensure the event’s special requirements are met.
-Assist with last minute pre-event needs, such as setting-up tables, linens, china, glassware, etc.
-Assist during the events waiting tables, washing dishes, maintaining garbage.
-Assist with break-down of event including washing of dishes, taking down tables, chairs and removing linens.
-Work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Days/Hours Needed:

Evenings and weekends
Hours will vary depending on the events

Required Qualifications:

Position requires ability to:
-Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer relations, communications and problem solving.
-Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
-Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in oral and written form.
-Work independently, exercising judgement and initiative.
-Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience in customer service
-Experience in hospitality serving or working events

Physical Demands:

-Ability to lift 50 lbs
