Position includes typical office responsibilities along with some event management responsibilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a priority. Primary areas of involvement will be with Greek life and the Campus Artist and Lecture Series. Representative tasks include data entry, generic office work, creating and/or maintaining social media site(s), filing, etc.

Days/Hours Needed

10 hours per week with schedule to be determined in consultation with successful applicant. At times there will be the opportunity to work additional hours during a specific week. These additional hours would be during the evening and/or on the weekend. Regular hours worked must take place Monday – Friday between 8 am and 4:30 pm.

Required Qualifications

Matriculated at SUNY Cortland;
Must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA;
Must be in good social standing with the College;
Familiarity and competency with Microsoft Word and Excel;
Sophomore standing or above;
Familiarity and competency with variety of social media

Preferred Qualifications

Someone who is a sophomore or above but not someone who is graduating in May or August 2019.

Physical Demands

Nothing unusual — ability to sit in chairs, work on computers, etc.
At some events, individual may be on their feet for extended periods of time.

Special Conditions for Eligibility

Position is NOT open to students who belong to fraternities/sororities recognized at SUNY Cortland.
