This is a full time benefited position that is responsible for the management of the Student Services department’s SAFPA budget, purchasing, service contracts for program and events. These tasks require financial responsibility in budget planning, projection of new campus programs and events and promotional items, and showing financial judgment in purchasing and facility requests; must be highly aware of University rules and regulations to ensure no negative financial impact on the SAFBA budget or the Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Division. This position will also assist, oversee scheduling and ensuring coverage of the front desk at Student Services, managing day-to-day office functions such as: phone calls, daily office visits and email requests from new and prospective students, campus partners, and other task related to enrollment and student life. This position is also partners with the Coordinator of Student Services in the hiring, training of student workers and coordinating their duties and schedules. This position is responsible for collecting and managing data for office visits, student programs and services at UWG Newnan. This position will serve as secondary liaison to various main campus departments in the areas of student involvement, minor conduct issues, housing and residence life, career services, counseling, center for adult learners and veterans and health services. This position will plan and execute student support events in partnership with the Assistant Director of Student Services for the Newnan Campus. This position is essential as a professional resource for supporting UWG Newnan students and referring to main campus resources, when necessary.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Two – four years administrative experience required. Excellent Word and Excel skiils required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and direction, and able to work collaboratively with Newnan administration and faculty. The ability to listen and resolve simple issues effectively with sound business sense and judgment. Strong computer skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive and personal information with discretion and sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in Higher Education preferred.

Salary$14.48 minimum - $17.85 midpointPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to work in an office and business environment, move around freely, sit for long periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a consistent basis.
