The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences’ 2020 Strategic Plan calls for increasing the capacity, expertise, and support for online course development and delivery. The Instructional Designer will provide training and instructional support for faculty interested in developing and delivering online courses.
In particular, this position will assist the CAES Office of Academic Affairs with designing and delivering training sessions; work one-on-one with faculty to assist with designing their online courses and consult on course design and implementation issues, incorporating best practices and theories of online curriculum and course design.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting faculty design and develop online courses. Designing and developing instructional material for CAES faculty. Providing training and technical support for interested faculty members. Acts as liaison between UGA Office of Online Learning, the CAES Office of Academic Affairs, and CAES faculty members in determining needs of the courses and appropriate method of delivery.
This position reports to the CAES Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. This position is full time and home based on the Athens Campus. Instructional support and travel to the Tifton and Griffin campuses is expected.

Structures, designs, and produces with faculty hybrid and online offerings of existing residential courses.

Develops with faculty and departments course and academic program assessment.
