Regional Sites Manager, Louisville, KY Education Center

Position Summary:

The Regional Sites Manager plays a vital role in the operations and growth of the Kentucky regional sites of Indiana Wesleyan University. IWU has buildings in Louisville, Lexington, and Florence. The successful candidate will possess skills related to the supervision of personnel, customer service, sales, building management, team building, and negotiation. He/she serves as the Conference Services Manager for the Kentucky Region. Assumes primary responsibility for property management of the Louisville building and staffing for daily campus operations. Supervises the Regional Operational staff. Assists Regional faculty and staff to successfully complete their duties and responsibilities, as assigned. Represents the Regional Dean or Director and provides direction to faculty, staff, and students in his/her absence. Promotes a positive image of the University through networking, relationship-building, and attending events in the community.

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Director by keeping her/him informed of daily of activities, problems, emergencies in assigned areas of responsibility. Candidate must possess strong communication skills.
  • Represents the University in a positive manner to administrators, faculty, staff, students, conference guests, visitors, and the neighboring community through Christian conduct, behavior, and presentation on and off campus.
  • Collaborates with the Director, Academic Affairs, Admissions, Faculty Recruiting, Off-Campus Library Services, Spirit Care, and Student Services to promote student satisfaction, success, and retention.
  • Responsible for marketing, booking/scheduling, overseeing conferencing logistics, preparing invoices, handling receipt of payments, and following-up on collection of payments.
  • Sets-up, takes-down, manages daily operations, and provides excellent customer service for Conference Services clients (e.g. tables, chairs, A/V equipment, catering services).
  • Negotiates contracts and coordinates all necessary maintenance and operations functions for the Region. Assists the Director in preparing and managing the operational budgets for the Region and maintains the Conference Services budget.
  • Assists the Director by gathering information for Student affairs (e.g., Petitions, Classroom Issues and Academic Appeals).
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff members, and university students to “build bridges” between other departments in the Region and at the Marion Campus.
  • Possesses superior English Language skills, including verbal and written communications, to communicate effectively in writing and one-on-one with RD, administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, community members, and vendors.
  • Excellent organizational and program planning skills, including budget planning, bookkeeping and budget management.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Possesses a high level of reasoning ability, such as problem solving, interpreting instructions and data, and dealing with unknown variables.
