Full-Time Faculty, Christian Ministry - School of Service & Leadership

Position Summary:

Indiana Wesleyan University’s National and Global Campus, Department of Religion seeks a Full Time Faculty person.This person will teach and assist in program oversight of undergraduate ministry programs, elective Bible, Philosophy, and Religion courses, oversee Key Adjunct or Affiliate Faculty, and assist in developing new programs.The candidate will have 2 or more years of teaching experience including online. They will have an appropriate Masters degree with a doctorate preferred.Local church ministry experience in a large church or mega-church is also preferred.

Reporting Relationships:

This Full Time Faculty Person reports the Director of Religion Programs in the School of Service and Leadership, National and Global Campus.

Education Requirements:

Masters Degree appropriate to field of instruction required

Doctorate appropriate to field of instruction preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses as agreed with the Director of Religion Programs
  • Oversight of Christian Ministry program(s), Program Assessment and resulting curriculum revisions as prescribed by Annual and Comprehensive Assessments
  • Partner in building a shared vision for expansion of new programs within the Department of Religion
  • Oversight and development of Key Adjunct/Affiliate Faculty who assist them in program teaching, curriculum revision, and assessment
  • Serve on select administrative councils, committees, and boards at Indiana Wesleyan University
  • Skillfully work in conjunction with other personnel in the Department of Religion

Qualifications:

Education

    Master’s degree appropriate to the field ofteaching required
    Doctorate appropriate to the field of teaching preferred

Experience

    Two or more years of experience teaching including online
    Local church ministry experience in a large or mega-church is preferred
    Experience building healthy organizational cultures and relationships
