DescriptionThe DataExchange Analyst within the Temple University School of Medicine will beresponsible for reviewing charge errors coming into CentricityBusiness.  This includes, but not limited to, interface error queuesand Centricity Business Transaction Editing System.  Under regularsupervision, responsible for effectively developing and implementing variousmodifications and enhancements to the system interfaces and related process toassure the maximum level of improvements, benefits and user acceptability anddata integrity.

       

ThisPosition is responsible for analyzing errors, determining course of action andresolution of the error.  Responsible for contacting appropriateresource to answer questions to resolve errors.  Responsible formaking recommendations on resolving recurring errors or to improve theefficiency of the process. This position will play a key role on new interfacetesting and in coordinating testing for any changes to the currentinterfaces.  This position must be able to prioritizes own workinvolving multiple tasks within established projectpriorities.  Performs assigned duties under regular supervision, andstandards and practices of the profession.

Communicatewith internal contacts on trends and enhancement opportunities to improve theprocess and minimize errors. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

RequiredEducation and Experience:

Bachelor’sdegree and at least one year of directly related experience in a professionalautomated clinical and/or billing environment. An equivalent combination ofeducation and experience may be considered. 

 

RequiredSkills and Abilities:

*Extensiveknowledge of interface management in the healthcare industry, and knowledge ofHL7 format. 

*Proficiency,quality, initiative, self-motivation and extensive knowledge of system policiesand billing procedures, attention to detail and documentation.

*Proficienton relevant PC based software applications i.e. Word, Excel and Access. 

*Demonstratedability to develop good working relationships with staff and management.

*Must have awell-rounded understanding of best practice for clinical electronic medicalrecords and revenue cycle operation processes and work flow.

*Demonstratedability to meet deadlines and follow dictions with minimal supervision.

*Demonstratedability to organize and reconcile data, handle work details and apply writtenguideline and work practices.

*Demonstratedability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verballyand in writing, and to establish working relationships with users, staffmembers, vendors and third party contacts.

*Demonstratedability to formulate and recommend sound solutions to application request,problems, or deficiencies.

 

Preferred:

*Experiencewith Epic Electronic Medical Record, specifically with Bridges application,GE/IDX Practice Management system, Siemens Invision applications, Quest,Meditech and Lab corp.
