Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the ranks of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the area of Drug Delivery. The successful candidate will establish a high quality, independent, externally funded research program, teach courses in the professional and graduate program, and supervise graduate students. University and community service will be expected as appropriate.

Research interests that will be considered include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following fields: drug delivery, advanced materials, nanomedicine or PK/PD.

Principal Duties:

Establish a high quality, independent, externally funded research program; supervise graduate students; and teach courses in professional and graduate program within the School of Pharmacy (https://pharmacy.wisc.edu). University and community service will be expected as appropriate.

Applicants' areas of research interest that will be considered include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following fields: drug delivery, advanced materials, nanomedicine or PK/PD. These fields complement existing strengths in the School and campus-wide translational research in drug development in various diseases.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop collaborative research on campus, including projects with a newly established center (Wisconsin Center for NanoBioSystems or WisCNano), closely interacting with the center faculty members and students. Degree and Area of Specialization:

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or related areas

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

One year minimum of postdoctoral experience in a research program that pertains to the study of drug delivery, materials science, nanomedicine, pharmaceutical sciences, or related areas. A strong track record in publications and research experience is required.

More senior rank will be also considered for exceptional candidates who have credentials that meet criteria for tenure and rank at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW School of Pharmacy.
