Parker College of Business Student Services. The Academic Advising Coordinator directs all aspects of academic advising within the Parker College of Business.

Essential Functions

•Advises students in areas of academic study.
•Supervises staff of Academic Advisors, administrative staff and Student Assistants.
•Informs students about academic requirements and regulations, and assists in course selection.
•Confers with prospective applicants and explains admissions procedures, standards, and content of programs.
•Trains and coordinates faculty advisors and interfaces with other units on campus.
•Participates in SOAR (Freshman Orientation and Advising Sessions) activities.
•Liaises with academic department(s) within the college regarding advising issues and services.
•Develops programs and disseminates information regarding degree requirements and general University regulations.
•Assesses, evaluates and/or analyzes unit’s effectiveness; develops recommendations and initiates action to ensure implementation.
