JOB SUMMARY
Full-time faculty members are professional educators whose primary responsibility is to provide a quality education for Central Arizona College students. Faculty members perform instruction-related and other duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, vision, mission, policies, and procedures of the college. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor, facilitator and evaluator of learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Will be responsible for shop equipment and an instructional classroom. Will teach preliminary HVAC courses to include Fundamentals of Electricity, Fundamentals of Refrigeration, Comfort Systems: Residential, Comfort Systems: Commercial, Refrigeration Systems and Practices, Advanced Troubleshooting. Class responsibilities include but are not limited to: attendance, student projects, monitoring student progress, curriculum development, and other specific duties pertaining to the specific Arizona Department of Corrections unit that will be assigned. Instructor will be teaching 15 to 20 inmate/students, at the Arizona Prison Complex. Position is dependent upon Arizona Department of Corrections funding. Position is full time - 12 months per year.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Five years of directly related occupational experience in HVAC/Refrigeration Technologies and completion of a refrigeration certification program.
SPECIAL POSITION CONDITIONS: Applicant must be able to pass and maintain Arizona Department of Corrections security clearance.
SALARY: Entry salary is $53,586.00 annual.
