Training and Application Specialist
The Training andApplication Specialist will be responsible for the training program for thepractice management and related systems, insurance and third party billing;including but not limited to curriculum, manuals, schedules, and evaluations.The incumbent is also responsible for serving as a liaison between the usercommunity, Operations Management and the TUP I.T. Department, maintainingaccurate data dictionaries, assist in researching application issues,participates in new application installs, perform quality assurance reviews andserves as a help desk representative. Position must develop ongoing rapport andcommunicate with internal and external contacts to provide highly complextechnical information and service; assess and anticipate recurring customerneeds, understand, influence and achieve internal project/work goals.
The essential functionsof the training and application specialist position are: Conduct effective andefficient training classes using creativity and innovation, maintain the datadictionaries used by Centricity Business, develop and publish bi-monthlynewsletter, maintain the curricula for training sessions geared to the specificobjectives of the Temple Health and adherence to TUP/TPI/TU/TUHS policies andprocedures, maintain documentation to be used in training sessions and/ordistribute to all billing and management areas, collaborate with Management,Department Administrators, Billing Managers and Practice Managers to identifyspecial training needs, maintain training schedule and distribute trainingconfirmations, maintain mechanisms to assess the level of success of thetraining programs for individuals and for meeting the objectives of TempleUniversity Physicians, provides auditing of new users to ensure systemutilization is accurate and consistent with TUP policies and procedures, assistwith system upgrades, revisions, customizations / installation of newapplications/modules/functions/activities, assist with data entry related tothe setup of new software program, and revisions to existing programs, assistin investigating and resolving Help Desk issues as they are identified anddetermine course of action for resolution, assist with maintaining masterschedules and appointment types, maintain an open communication line withVendor’s, Management, TUHS, TU and staff members at all levels. Performs otherduties as assigned.
Required Education &Experience:
Bachelor's degree inrelated field and at least one year of directly related experience. Anequivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills &Abilities:
*Demonstratedinterpersonal communication skills, including presentation skills
*Proven ability toprovide effective technology support to end users
*Ability to manager I/Twithin classroom and medical billing environments
*At least two years’experience in a medical billing environment.
