The Electronic ResearchAdministration (ERA) Sr. Compliance Specialist, reporting to the ERADirector/Project Manager, is responsible for providing support to theCompliance Development/Management modules in ERA used by Temple University totrack research compliance activities electronically, along with the animalordering and tracking application. Provides monthly reports based on the datacollected in ERA and for training faculty and staff in all aspects of the ERAmodules. Responsibilities include: reviewing and interpreting the policies andregulations related to human subjects protocols, lab animals protocols,biosafety protocols and conflict of interest disclosures; assisting the facultyand the compliance offices staff for ERA related functions in the respectivemodules, training, and support for all ERA related activities. Serves as amentor and training specialist for the technical and administrative staff;prepares internal reports, and assists with inquiries from executive leveluniversity administration, concerning specific compliance information. Activelyassists in the implementation of the electronic research administration systemfor managing all aspects of compliance. Conducts quality assurance testing whennew releases are issued or as needed to address end user issues; assists withdeveloping, updating, and maintaining ERA documentation andapplications to facilitate and promote the overall efficiency. Performs otherduties as assigned.

Required Education andExperience: 
Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experienceworking in a research office along with some experience in electronicsystems. An equivalent combination of education and experience may beconsidered.

*Demonstrated knowledge working in a research related electronic system. 
*Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of research pre-and post-awardprocedures and requirements. 
*Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with Excel and Access databasesoftware programs.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, along with the ability tointeract effectively with a diverse populations.
*Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills, along with the abilityto work within tight and often conflicting deadlines.
*Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented.
*Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
