- Develop grant proposals, collect data, track statistical information, route, edit, and coordinate the preparation of reports related to project deliverables.
- Train incoming Faculty Support Coordinators in the delivery of administrative support, within a shared services environment.
- Oversee the workload assignments and supervise classified and temporary staff as well as student assistants.
- Compile information, confer with appropriate staff, maintain records, and prepare correspondence and reports.
- Address, develop, implement, and interpret business and administrative related processes for assigned research groups consistent with Institute policies; including recommendation letters, requests for travel supplements; conference registration and payments.
- Serve as a liaison with the finance office in the coordination and oversight of sponsored project activity.
- Oversee and coordinate the hiring process for assigned groups by assembling personnel forms, arranging transportation and facilitating housing accommodations for new faculty.
- Coordinate events, including faculty visits, meetings, seminars, conferences, program reviews, multi-investigator site visits and workshops.
- Prepare faculty CVs and bio-sketches for publication.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Work Experience: Seven to nine years job related experience.
- Certifications: N/A
- Skills: This job requires use of office and specialized computer applications and systems. Skills in financial record keeping, report writing, communications, and customer service is required.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Education: Master's Degree.
- Preferred Work Experience: University experience, particularly in an academic research environment is preferred.
- Preferred Certifications: N/A
- Preferred Skills: Supervisory and organization skills highly desired. Working knowledge related to support of research project teams with specific experience in grant accounting, budgeting and reporting is preferred as are skills in records management, conference and event planning.
