Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Inclusive Education Department at Kennesaw State University invites
applications for a limited term (nine-month), full-time, non-tenure track position in Special Education and/or TESOL.

The ideal candidate will have:

- experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate online and/or hybrid courses
- experience with program/curriculum development experience with online course conversion/development
- evidence of implementing culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy
- experience/expertise working with a variety of exceptionalities including gifted
- evidence of a commitment to global engagement evidence of community engagement via collaboration with schools and communities and/or the use of experiential learning or service-learning for instruction
- teaching experience with expectations for graduate faculty status based upon professional experience

Responsibilities will include:

- teaching courses in the Inclusive Education department (the specific courses will be determined by the faculty members degree, educational experience, and departmental needs)
- advising current and prospective students, supporting faculty members teaching in program area courses
- writing accreditation reports
- supervising students in the field,
- communicating with the Center for Clinical Partnerships and Programs (CEPP) and district partners
- attending program and department meetings
- supporting department and college initiatives.
- contributing to the intellectual vitality of the department to maintain the Universal Design Lab & AVATAR Lab
- participating in syllabus/course refinement
- attending Special Education and/or TESOL team meetings
- attending INED department meetings supporting program advising efforts

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Education: a Masters, EdS, or EdD in Special Education, TESOL, or a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent.

Experience: teaching Special Education or TESOL at the B-12 level

- excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues in an interdisciplinary and diverse environment
- technology skills to support teaching, learning, and research
- demonstrated interest and ability to work with individuals and students who are culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse
