Accepts and executes passport applications in the office of International Programs.
Responsible for providing administrative support for FSU International Programs passport office as a certified acceptance agent. Interprets U.S. Department of State policies and applies them while executing passport application documents from FSU and the larger community.

Advises prospective applicants on the requirements and procedures for obtaining a passport. Collects fees on behalf of the U.S. Department of State and FSU. Assembles and prepares executed applications to be mailed to the respective locations.

Agents are required to update an excel document with applicant information after each executed application. Morning shift will be in charge of tracking all packages to ensure successful delivery.

Afternoon shift will be responsible for the reconciling of money collected throughout the day as well as bringing all USPS packages to the post office after the office is closed. In charge of responding to all emails sent to ip-passports@fsu.edu in a reasonable amount of time.

When the agent is not busy with applications, they will assist with various immigration, risk, and emergency management tasks.
Assists with other academic and program-related duties as needed. The agent will also assist in passport office recruitment efforts.Qualifications High school diploma/equivalency and four years of experience related to the duties of this position.

(Note: a combination of post high education and experience equal to four years.)

Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment.

Ability to evaluate applicant information and determine eligibility.

Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Eighteen years of age or older.

U.S. Citizen, to be certified annually by the U.S. Department of State.

Must be free of any Federal, State, or local felony or misdemeanor indictment, conviction, parole, or probation related to breach of trust or moral turpitude (i.e., drug offense, embezzlement, document fraud, or dishonesty carrying out a responsibility involving public trust). To be verified through a pre-employment criminal history background check.Preferred Resume is required.
