Department The Center for Information Management and Educational Services (CIMES) invites applications for the position of Coordinator, Web Application Development.

This position provides supervision of staff as needed, develops and maintains web applications, supports the ongoing expansion of the centers capabilities into additional technologies and assists with IT and Information security activities. •Coordinates the design, development and maintenance of web applications to include scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress
•Works with clients on application objectives, requirements and specifications
•Researches, keeps current and shares findings on new and emerging best practices, technologies and software
•Conducts QA activities on developed code
•Conducts IT management and Information Security activities
•Assists with proposal development and marketing activitiesQualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, MIS or related field and four years of experience

Minimum one (1) year experience programming in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) environment or equivalent

Demonstrated supervisory or management experience on a software or web development project

Demonstrated proficiency and experience in at least one web development language

Ability to write documentation and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Highly developed and the ability to utilize problem solving skills.Preferred Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript Libraries (JQuery or equivalent).

Experience with ColdFusion, Java, or .Net.

Experience with HTML5, modern CSS and Responsive Web Design.

Experience with Mobile Application Development.

Experience with IT systems management and Information Security methods.

Familiarity with XML and XML-related tools (XPath, XQuery, XSL, etc.)
