Trinity Christian College seeks a full-time Technology Support Specialist. The Technology Support Specialist will serve as the initial point of contact for all student, faculty, and staff technology support. This position will be responsible for collecting the necessary information to document technology problems, and work towards their resolution by diagnosing, troubleshooting, or escalating to other staff as needed.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Field walk-up requests to IT Service Desk
  • Answer phone calls to IT Service Desk extension
  • Respond to support tickets submitted by end users
  • Create IT Service Desk tickets
    • Gather end user information
    • Research, diagnose, and troubleshoot the problem
    • Document the problem and resolution in IT Service Desk platform
    • Escalate support tickets to appropriate staff members when necessary
  • Install and configure software and devices for end users
  • Provide Tier 1 support for all campus technology systems and platforms
  • Establish and maintain a reputation for excellence in customer service and support

Other qualifications include: 

  • Eager to learn and use new technology
  • Proficient with Windows 10
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with Mac OS
  • Able to lift & carry up to 50lbs
  • Able to climb ladders
  • Able to access equipment in confined spaces (such as under a desk or in a closet)

A high school diploma is required; however, a BA or BS degree is preferred.
