Henderson Library. The Government Documents Library Technical Assistant provides efficient and consistent support to internal and external staff of the Henderson Library.

Essential Functions

•Acquires new government materials from the Government Publishing Office (GPO), other libraries, and individual donors.
•Manages staffing functions: advertising, hiring and training Student Assistants.
•Provides quality assurance for processing, shelving, scanning and other departmental functions.
•Creates and oversees workflows.
•Sorts and distributes materials with proper documentation.
•Communicates with GPO when discrepancies cannot be resolved at the local level.
•Keeps statistics and creates monthly and annual reports; maintains accurate record-keeping.
•Assists with exhibits and other outreach.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Two years of post-secondary education

Preferred Experience

Experience developing and documenting workflows, student supervision, OneUSG Connect, PeopleAdmin, GIL-Find, WorldCat and other database searching
