Position SummaryThis position is an Assistant Instructor who will assist the instructor of record in laboratory instruction for students studying medical laboratory science during the Fall Semester 2019. The primary focus of this position is to assist faculty in instruction of laboratory courses in all clinical laboratory specialties. The successful applicant will also support faculty in evaluations and assessments. The position requires an individual with a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related science degree with knowledge of all areas of the clinical laboratory The successful applicant must be certified as a medical laboratory scientist or medical technologist by a US certifying agency, e.g., ASCP, have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to coordinate work with staff and faculty, and possess strong organizational skills. Experience training students or other laboratory scientists at the bench is desired.

Required Degree

Bachelors -Medical Laboratory Science/basic science

Minimum Requirements
  • Experience working in a clinical laboratory and certification as a medical laboratory scientist or medical technologist by a US agency (e.g. ASCP)
  • Bachelor's in medical laboratory science or basic science related field.

Desired Qualifications

Experience training students or other laboratory scientists at the bench.
