Position provides administrative support for the Career Bridge; assist with typing and formatting sample professional communications; assist with outreach-related tasks and event management and maintain and update Handshake, our online system for jobs and internships.Required Qualifications
Complete the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid online at www.fafsa.gov.
Have a complete financial aid file (submit all required documents for processing financial aid).
Must be enrolled at NLU at least half-time for classes needed toward your degree.
Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

The ideal candidate for the Career Bridge Assistant, FWS position must possess the following abilities:
Provide excellent customer service skills while working with Employers, Staff, Students, and Faculty; Have a professional demeanor and maintain confidentiality; Have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Enjoy networking and event planning; Proper phone and email etiquette; Knowledgeable with media communication (Facebook, LinkedIn) Must be dependable and organized.
The Career Bridge Assistant, FWS essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist with typing and formatting sample professional communications
Assist with outreach-related tasks and event management
Outreach and recruitment of Employers
Answer calls related to employer relations
Become familiar with the University’s services related to Employer Relations
Handle and protect confidential and sensitive data with integrity
Maintain and update Handshake, our online system for jobs and internships
Create and maintain data entries
Respond to email inquiries
Participate in off campus outreach and networking, as needed
Post flyers on campus, and on mass media
Research and support for Employer Relations
