The Assistant Director of Football Operations & Recruiting provides assistance to the Director of Football Operations in assigned areas of the intercollegiate football program. He or she will manage all logistics related to team travel. He or she will assist the Director of Recruiting Operations with duties pertaining to planning, coordinating and executing on campus visit for prospective student athletes. He or she will support the Director of Recruiting Operations with the overall management of the recruiting operations full-time, part-time and undergraduate staffs. He or she will maintain knowledge of NCAA rules and develop clear lines of communication with the Director of Football Compliance for all recruiting staff members. Additionally, he or she will organize the arrangements for the annual pre-season camp. He or she will serve on the bowl operations staff with responsibilities related to official party travel. He or she will coordinate team entertainment. He or she will serve as the football staff liaison to the office of Southeastern Conference Football Officials. He or she will serve as the football staff liaison to various on campus departments and offices.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Be familiarized and compliant with NCAA and SEC rules. Ability to communicate and organize schedules. Ability to stay up to date with recruiting current events and keep coaches informed. Understand computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to work nights and/or weekends and holidays.

Will work nights and weekends especially during football season

While performing the duties of this job; the employee will regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally sit and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.
