This is routine reception, purchasing, accounting, and inventory work. Some maintenance of purchasing and inventory accounts. Assigned work is performed independently within highly detailed established guidelines. Problems related to unusual transactions are referred to the Accountant or Administrative Associate. This position will also cross-train with other accounting assistants in the department.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Central Research Stores Reception
- Answer phones and assist callers with information requests
- Greet and direct visitors
- Process payment requests, UGAmart orders, employee reimbursements and other transactions using university systems
-Invoicing of customer orders
-Deliver documents and packages, perform
document scanning, copying and filing
- Prepare office for the day and close of business
Assist researcher in ordering lab supplies including, but not limited to, reviewing, approving and rejecting account requests and orders in the supply ordering system.
