Position Summary Information

Primary Purpose

Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computing equipment and services associated with Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Management of servers and hosted systems in support of business and academic processing requirements is an essential requirement of this position. Responsible for auditing applications, servers and network device security and implementing upgrades as necessary to meet University security policies and procedures. Works with existing staff to implement and troubleshoot systems and University computing services.implementing new functionality to improve the efficiencies and effectiveness of student interactions with university recruitment, admission, and student success staff at Pacific. They are also responsible for acting as a technical advisor on special projects.

Essential Functions

1.Technical Leadership
•Designs enterprise CRM systems and services utilizing commercial and open-source tools.
•Acts as technical project lead for multi-campus impacting projects.
•Interfaces with University leadership to define and outline project requirements and outcomes.
•Provides technical leadership towards implementing solutions to further University goals or requirements.
•Provides senior level assistance to system power users and technical support staff throughout Pacific Technology and the University.

2.Application Administration
•Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and application packages.
•Develops and maintains a comprehensive hardware and software configuration database and library of all supporting documents.
•Research and develop alternative solutions; write up programming specification and system flow charts; develop prototypes; design user friendly interfaces to systems, applications, reports, and databases; identify and document current operation procedures.
•Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains severs/workstations in accordance with established Pacific Technology policies, procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).
•Assists with Cloud-based deployments and ensures reliability.
•Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum levels of performance.
•Develops and maintains a comprehensive hardware and software configuration database and library of all supporting documents.
•Conducts hardware and software security audits of applications, servers and network electronic devices for compliance with University data security standards, policies, guidelines and procedures.
•Ensures server or SaaS data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

3.Technical Project Management
•Researches, designs, and recommends enterprise systems and services utilizing commercial and open-source tools.
•Acts as technical project leads for multi-campus impacting projects
•Interacts with University leadership to define and outline project requirements and outcomes

4.Develops and promote standard operating procedures. Researches and proposes improvement to the academic and business systems for the University.

5.Fosters collaborative support among administrators of servers and coordinates/documents problem resolutions.

Minimum Qualifications

•Minimum of five (5) years or more of experience in system administration of a CRM system, with two (2) years or more serving as Technical lead. Alternatively, a combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
•Associates Degree required.
•SalesForce Administrator Certification Required.

Preferred Qualifications

•A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or technology-related field.
•Expert knowledge in some of the following: Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools such as Informatica, Axium, or Mulesoft
•Adept knowledge of web form development, and web administration.
•Understanding of AWS, or equivalent Cloud architecture, and site reliability engineering.
•Thorough understanding of SalesForce tools such as Marketing Cloud, Communities, Einstein Analytics or Student Advisor Link is a plus.
•Experience with deployment and maintenance of centralized patching and upgrade management technologies.
•Familiarity with University business operations such as admissions, registrar, or Student accounts is a plus.
•Completion of the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management within 90 working days of start of employment is required.
•Ability to support and troubleshoot SaaS based applications in a multi-vendor, environment with limited supervision.
•Ability to comfortably discuss computing topics with varying levels of personnel from student to CIO.
•Ability to provide solutions to integrate various disparate systems into a single service offering using existing knowledge and research.
•Ability to lead projects and knowledge and understanding of project management best practices.
•Must be capable of prioritizing and meeting deadlines for wide-ranging technical projects.
•Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
•Industry certifications preferred (PMP, Additional SalesForce Certifications, etc)

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel
Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with use of computer and phone. Work performed during standard business hours of 8am-5pm, requires additional hours both evening and weekends to accommodate business needs. Schedule may be modified to meet deadlines.

Valid driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.
