Job Details
The Computer Science and Information Systems Department in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) at the University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications, from internal candidates only, for the position of full-time Information Systems Lecturer. The MCCB is an AACSB accredited business school and includes the Center for Cyber Operations Education, Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the BB&T Center for Ethical Leadership. In addition to the B.B.A., the college offers undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Technology Management, and Paralegal Studies, and three associate degrees. Graduate programs include the Cottrell M.B.A., Master of Accountancy, and three graduate certificates. The international group of teacher-scholars provides an exceptional learning community to prepare students for their professional roles and to engage with business and industry in the region to foster economic development. The Department includes the Center for Cyber Operations Education, designated as a National Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense by the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency. The Department prepares graduates for innovative careers in software engineering, system administration, management, systems analysis and design, cybersecurity, analytics, programming, and research.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:- The faculty member will teach introductory and upper division information systems courses for business and information systems majors and minors, as well as some general education information technology courses.
- Minimum requirement is an MBA or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field with at least 18 hours of graduate level coursework in computer information systems at the time of appointment. Doctoral students or ABD in Information Systems who can work full-time are preferred.
- AACSB faculty qualifications must be appropriately maintained.
- College level teaching experience is strongly preferred; demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential.
