Description
UCLA Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences seeks applications for a temporary lecturer position in the area of Geology for the Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 Quarters. Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams and problem sets, planning and conducting one or more field trips, and supervising teaching assistants for a lower division course on Introduction to Earth Sciences and the course Geographical Maps.
Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in Geology or equivalent discipline and have experience in teaching Geology at the college level. Candidates should upload a curriculum vitae and statement of teaching philosophy (max 1 page) to UCLA Academic Recruit.
