The NYU School of Professional Studies Center for Publishing, which trains industry professionals for positions in book publishing and digital/magazine media companies, seeks an individual to assist with the administration of its three divisions: the Master of Science in Publishing: Digital and Print Media  program; The Summer Publishing Institute; and global and executive education programming and events. Primary responsibility will be for the graduate program, though the individual will be asked to assist with the administration of all programs. In collaboration with the director, the individual will participate in strategic academic planning and policy development for the program, serve as primary student liaison and advisor, and provide onsite administrative management of all program functions.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree and professional-level experience administering academic programs or student services including planning and administering major events; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to plan and track schedules, budgets, and programmatic elements under pressure; serve as liaison with multiple stakeholders; develop and implement strategic plans and programs; Excellent organizational, oral and written communication and presentation skills required as well as knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. A background in the publishing industry is highly desirable. Degree in Higher Education or Publishing helpful. Must be willing to travel and chaperone students on trips if needed.
