The Database Developer reports to the Director of External Reporting. The incumbent will work within institutional research data sources to:

(1) Identify, document, and reduce redundancies
(2) Clean up base naming according to convention
(3) Migrate Institutional Research data into Enterprise data warehouse
(4) Document lineage
(5) Prepare data dictionary
(6) Model the staging, business model/mapping (BMM), and presentation layers both for internal use and aligning with the enterprise operational warehouse
(7) Implement jobs to ensure BMM and Presentation are auto populated from Staging

The candidate must understand underlying warehouse technology, including setup, tuning and administration, and have a deep understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in IT project management or technical project management related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
