Position Summary:
Russell Union. The A/V Operations Coordinator provides audio visual support for large scale campus wide events within Russell Union Student Center and Williams Center, as well as on and off campus. The position requires occasional evening and weekend availability.

Essential Functions

  • Sets-up and resets rooms for programs, operates and troubleshoots audio and visual equipment including microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, and other related electronic equipment for classrooms, conferences and events.
  • Provides electronic equipment and audio visual support for faculty, staff and clients.
  • Collaborates with program and event specialists to ensure successful outcome to include data collection and event execution.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises student audio visual technicians and projectionists.
  • Purchases, repairs and maintains audio visual and theatrical lighting equipment.
  • Monitors and coordinates urgent and onsite audio visual requests.

    Bachelor’s Degree

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Ability to operate a scissor lift; ability to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation; effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment

    Preferred Education:


    Preferred Experience::
    Experience in theatrical lighting, sound, and audiovisual event staging, rigging, and trussing; experience with professional digital audio and lighting consoles; experience with LED and traditional stage lighting, Line Array set-up and prediction software or related programs; experience pulling and backing large trailers.

    Salary Range: $36,500 - $40,000
