McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University seeks to identify an organized and high functioning Associate Director, Data Analytics & Operations. S/he oversees the gathering, organizing, analyzing, promoting, and integrating of MSB data. This is an important role that ensures leveraged data analytics to make informed decisions when recruiting, selecting, and crafting cohorts for the graduate degree programs at MSB. Reporting to the Associate Dean and Chief Admissions Officer, the Associate Director of Data Analytics has additional duties that include but are not limited to:
  • Compiles, organizes, and manipulates all of the data collected to create reports that will assess qualitative and quantitative data points to be used to select the best candidates and to study patterns that impact admissions and recruitment.
  • Collects, organizes, and visually represents all MBA and Specialized Master Program Admissions data (historical and current data related to prospects, inquiries, admits and matriculates) so that it can be accessed in real time, as needed.
  • Provides weekly data reports and ad-hoc reports by round in support of the admissions evaluation process and scholarship decisions.
  • Identifies gaps in existing data streams and creates solutions in order to close such gaps.
  • Creates reports to identify data anomalies and works with data owners to resolve them.
  • Suggests process improvements to ensure data integrity.
  • Delivers data as requested on schedule and ad hocs to support business school rankings and data submissions.
  • Devises methods to predict admissions outcomes, including: application volume, student melt, deposit numbers, and yield on scholarship dollars.
  • Provides data analytics to each of the functional areas within the department, including: operations, events/recruiting, and marketing/communications, creating synergies among them when possible.
  • Represents MSB Admissions at local recruiting events as needed, traveling as needed for events.
  • Provides admissions guidance to prospective students throughout the admissions process as needed.
  • Conducts interviews with prospective students as needed.
  • Evaluates MBA applications and serves on the Admissions Committee as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or other discipline that engendered an understanding of technology systems
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing data, developing quantitative models, maintaining 3rd party vendor systems, supporting system users, and producing reports using various types of data management software
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, (specifically Excel and Powerpoint)
  • An interest and ease in working with quantitative and qualitative data
