Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Instructional/Educational Technology or related field and five years of experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EF.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education setting teaching both in face-to-face and online formats. Working closely with faculty in course design. Instructional/Educational Technology experience or background is strongly preferred. Must have strong competence with Microsoft Office Suite, Blackboard, and associated applications.

Position Description:
The primary functions of the Instructional Technology Consultant Sr. role are to provide training and support on instructional technologies including one-on-one and small group consultation with faculty regarding technology tools, learning theory, best practices for teaching, and online/blended course development.

This person will also create instructional course materials and assist faculty members in selecting and implementing pedagogial strategies to enhance teaching and learning in face-to-face, blended, and online courses. This includes incorporating text, graphics, video, and animation into educational and training products, utilizing best practices in instructional design theory and accessibility. This individual will also collaborate with colleagues to infuse best practices of instructional design and technology into new and existing programs and initiatives.

In addition, this person will analyze and evaluate new technologies for potential application in instruction and will continually develop new skills that will advance their instructional technology skills. Also, this person will develop, share, and apply knowledge and scholarship to instructional design and online teaching.
