Job Details

Wells College seeks applicants for the full-time (12 month) staff position of Assistant Athletic Director - Sports Information. The successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of athletics communication for the 15 NCAA Division III programs. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: maintaining the department’s web site; making use of social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) to promote Wells Athletics; marketing, branding, and messaging content for Wells College Athletics;  serving as in-game statistician for all home athletic contests; producing game day programs, recaps and other promotional press releases; maintaining statistical records; supervising student-workers and interns; scheduling referees/officials for all home contests; maintaining department catalog of photographs and videos; reporting scores to the NCAA and the NEAC office; nominating student-athletes for athletics awards; and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree; collegiate sports information experience preferred; extensive evening and weekend hours can be expected; highly motivated, organized, strong supervisory skills, strong computer skills and competency in Stat Crew, webcasting formats; website design, use of social media outlets; Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Suite to include InDesign and Photoshop, and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
