Assistant Professor

The Department of OB/GYN andDivision of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Colorado is recruiting1-2 faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. TheGynecologic Oncology division at the University of Colorado is the largestgroup in the Rocky Mountain region with 6 board certified gynecologic oncologistsand 1 minimally invasive surgeon. We are a nationally known and respected groupwith a diverse and broad expertise. Our group sees >800 new patients/yearwith unsurpassed surgical expertise and an impressive clinical trialsportfolio. As part of the only NCCN/NCI Comprehensive Cancer center in theregion, we offer outstanding research opportunities both in the basic scienceand clinical arena.  We also offer theonly fellowship training program in the region and are slated to expand thefellowship to include 5 total fellows.

 

Our practice is largely centeredat the University of Colorado Hospital but we offer services in the growingDenver metropolitan area including Denver Health Medical Center (the region’smain safety net hospital) as well at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital in southDenver. This position would be mainly based at the University of ColoradoHospital and would involve some outreach to the greater Denver and Coloradoregion. Responsibilities include surgical/medical management of gynecologicmalignancies, teaching of medical students/residents/fellows and outpatientcare of women with cancer.

QualificationsSuccessful applicants should be able to develop strong relationships with community physicians in the greater Colorado region. 

Candidates should be board certified/eligible in both Obstetrics/Gynecology as well as Gynecologic Oncology through the American Board of OB/GYN (ABOG) and must be able to obtain licensure in Colorado.
