Stanford University is seeking an Associate Director of Finance and Administration/Academic Operations Manager 1 to provide management and coordination of financial, administrative and operations-related functions for the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology (MCP) and its subunit,,the Center for Molecular Neuroscience in Health and Disease (CMNHD).
The ADFA Reports directly to the DFA for MCP and will partner with faculty leadership and DFA on all departmental affairs, and is a working manager for research administration management, including overseeing all sponsored project awards and faculty financial portfolios. The ADFA will manage one supporting research administrator and 4-5 additional administrative staff to achieve the research and teaching mission, as well as specific goals and objectives of the unit. Direct, hire, and manage administrative staff.
Experience in financial planning and research administration are critical skills for success in this position.
Duties include:
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proactive, detail-oriented self-starter with extensive prior Stanford University (SOM) management experience and familiarity with grants management (NIH, CIRM, DOD, AHA, MDA, fellowships, etc.). Desire minimum of 5 years to 10 years relevant experience.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, or combination of education and relevant experience.
