Requirements

The Division of Student Affairs supports the academic mission by educating students as whole persons, promoting their intellectual, moral, spiritual, and social formation; enhancing students' learning and helping to prepare them for lives of discernment, civic engagement, and professional growth; teaching personal responsibility and respect for people of all faiths, cultures, and beliefs; and promoting the health and safety of students and others in the University community.

The Program Manager serves as a member of the Office of Student Equity and Inclusion, the umbrella unit which houses the Center for Multicultural Equity and Access (CMEA), Community Scholars Program (CSP), and the Georgetown Scholars Program (GSP). S/he assists the Associate Vice President for Student Equity and Inclusion with scheduling for the office and in coordinating all event programming. The Program Manager has additional duties that include but are not limited to:

Office Management
  • Manages the calendar of events for OSEI, including appointments for the AVP.
  • Corresponds on behalf of OSEI regarding meetings, events, and general inquiries.
  • Provides office support for daily support tasks.
  • Trains graduate assistant and undergraduate student workers.

Financial Records
  • Manages event budgets, tracking, and reconciling spending for OSEI.
  • Organizes and reconciles all monthly expenses into GMS/PaymentNet systems.

Event Planning
  • Leads planning for all OSEI meetings and events.
  • Reserves spaces, organizes catering orders, requests AV equipment where necessary, and handles all details from beginning to end.
  • Advertises for events and manages invitations to all constituents via email and Paperless Post.
  • Collects, analyzes, and implements feedback from colleagues, students, alumni, and volunteers, submitting feedback to the team for further planning.

Data Management
  • Maintains detailed tracking lists, analyzing social media and newsletter impact, calculating ROI, and optimizing reach.
  • Analyzes quantitative and qualitative feedback from post-event surveys and determines impact and attendee satisfaction, brainstorming areas of improvement by utilizing data.
  • Engages with CMEA colleagues on data collection and analysis, and with GSP colleagues on data collection and analysis.

Communication and Media
  • Analyzes social media and newsletter impact, calculating ROI and optimizing reach.
  • Works with colleagues to create website design, manage website content and media, and provide regular upkeep and maintenance.
  • Oversees student intern and student board members that create content for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other info-graphic materials.
  • Stays updated on higher education policies and research that impacts first generation students and students of color.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree; Academic coursework in relevant areas is preferred
  • An understanding of financial aid and scholarship issues
  • Familiarity with college access advocacy
  • Experience with financial and budget management
  • Event planning experience (as an employee or as a student leader) preferred
  • Experience working at Georgetown University highly preferred
