Membership Community Building and Network Support:

Connect and support CUMU members across the network to address their priorities and challenges. Create online and in person opportunities for members to connect. Develop and manage a system to better understand and react to member needs. Create and manage CUMU’s online member community. Incentivize and encourage members to participate in networks and communities through collaborations with the CUMU Headquarters team. Serve as key point of contact for the CUMU-TDC Anchor Learning Network and other Networks to be developed. Support members engaged in these networks through regular communication, community building, events, problem solving, and tool development. Create and maintain strong relationships with other higher education organizations to develop and grow partnerships that support CUMU members.

CUMU Events and Special Projects:

Support the Executive Director in developing relevant events to support CUMU membership connections and problem solving including regional meetings and events within the annual CUMU conference. Expand CUMU webinar development, report, and other outreach initiatives. Support special projects including research grants and initiatives that support CUMU members and their communities.

Metropolitan Universities Journal Coordination:

In collaboration with the Metropolitan Universities Journal team, support the publication of the Metropolitan Universities Journal through the coordination of copy-editing, administering the open journals interface, posting journal issues, tracking journal data and reporting as necessary.




Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in communications, program development, and or related field. Must be a fast learner, independent, tech savvy, strong communicator, team player, and flexible. The CUMU Community and Program Coordinator role will require creativity and initiative as well as the ability to take ideas from formation to implementation. Preferred experience in higher education and/or association management.
