DescriptionThe College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is currently seeking applicants for two tenure-track, Assistant Professor positions in Finance starting in August 2020.

Our specific instructional needs are in the areas of investments, corporatefinance, international financial management, and case studies in finance. Classesin other areas will be assigned as needed and efforts will be made to findopportunities for the candidate to teach in his/her special areas ofexpertise.

The successful candidate shouldbe devoted to teaching excellence at the graduate and undergraduate level, committedto high-quality scholarly research, and interested in pursuing community involvement. Cross-disciplinary researchis respected and encouraged. This position requires on-going scholarshipsufficient to achieve and maintain AACSB "Scholarly Academic” status.

QualificationsMinimumQualifications: 

  • An earned doctorate (or ABD) in finance or a closely related field froman AACSB accredited business school. ABDapplicants must have completed all doctoral course requirements and qualifyingexams and must persuasively demonstrate that all degree requirements will becompleted before the start of the Fall 2020 semester.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior andrelevant teaching experience in finance or a closely related field at theuniversity level.
  • Ability or interest in teaching online classes.
  • Relevant practical experience in a financeposition is highly regarded and a willingness to interact with local finance,financial planning and business professionals is a plus.
