    Responsibilities
    Involves analyzing large-scale business processes and problems for campus-wide IST-API services and operations; developing secure, accessible, and maintainable solutions involving the use of computer systems, information flow and architecture; creating user-friendly and accessible specifications for systems to meet requirements; validating security, accessibility, and maintenance requirements against needs; designing details of automated systems; including writing test scenarios for automated tests developing user interface design and accessibility guidelines; planning and executing unit integration and acceptance testing that meet security and customer needs along with meeting accessibility criteria. May lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues. May provide consulting regarding specific technical, web, and accessibility solutions for campus teams.

    Analyzes large-scale business processes and problems for campus-wide IST-API services and operations.
  • Applies technical expertise and business analysis concepts to identify, evaluate and define user requirements, accessibility best practices, and maintenance considerations for complex systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
  • Analyzes campus-developed and vendor IT solutions and provides recommendations for meeting security, accessibility, usability, and maintenance requirements given the various campus audiences and needs.

    Develops secure and accessible solutions, including creating specifications to meet requirements.
  • Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing complex systems and procedures.
  • Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
  • Creates complex specifications for systems to meet user requirements.
  • Applies business systems concepts to design details of complex automated systems.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues.
  • Provides user support, documentation and training on new platform features and enhancements.
  • Develops complex user interface designs.
  • Provides quality assurance including writing test scenarios for automated tests, manual testing, debugging and documentation.

    Advises and educates campus managers, staff, and development teams
  • Provides Tier 2 and 3 level work for Google instance and bCop SMTP service. Resolve higher priority issues, including escalation to Google. Work with many different units: the bConnected Service Team to perform Alpha and Beta testing of new Google features, Security on ongoing security issues with compromised accounts, IT Policy and Privacy Office on subject access requests for consensual or non-consensual access to accounts.
  • Provides consulting regarding specific technical, web, and accessibility solutions for campus teams.
  • Provides ongoing reports, guidance, and feedback to management and professionals, identifying any variances to plan and proposing solutions and alternatives.
  • Participates in reviews for campus applications, systems, and websites
  • Provides input, guidance, and recommendations to external vendor partners and other campus teams for critical campuswide systems and applications
  • Provides input to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or writes portions of RFP document.
  • Documents accessibility solutions that can have significant long-term benefits in minimizing risk and avoiding costly remediation.
  • Acts as a IST-API technical resource for the unit and for the campus.

    Professional Development

    Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Requires thorough knowledge of technical and business analysis function.
  • Must have knowledge relating to the design, development, and operations of IT platforms and applications programs.
  • Strong experience with design, technical and functional analysis, and information architecture.
  • Strong experience with technical and functional documentation.
  • Experience providing technical consulting to non-technical audiences
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work and manage time in a dynamic environment on complex projects with competing priorities.
  • Requires knowledge of other areas of IT.
  • Knowledge of department processes and procedures.
  • Requires skills associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow, user experience design, accessibility best practices and architecture.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
