Position: Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education (Tenure Track)

Responsibilities include:
•Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood education and in curriculum and instruction
•Plan and supervise practicum and internship experiences
•Maintain an active research/publication record
•Pursue external funding agenda with a focus on early childhood education
•Direct student research, theses, and dissertations; advise students
•Collaborate in further development of innovative undergraduate and graduate early childhood programs
•Collaborate with local schools, school systems
•Provide service within the University, to state and local education agencies, and to relevant professional organizations

Minimum Qualifications:
•Earned doctorate in Early Childhood Education, or Curriculum and Instruction, or Elementary Education with specialization in Early Childhood Education
•Minimum 2 years full-time classroom teaching experience at the pre-Kindergarten- grade 3 levels
•Demonstrated ability to pursue a research agenda focusing on early childhood education
•Experience with supervising and planning clinical field experiences;
•Ability to teach courses in early childhood education and in curriculum and instruction
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple stake holders
•Ability to integrate technology into instruction including web-assisted and other alternative delivery models
•Ability to teach with a multicultural perspective

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with ESL populations
•Experience working in collaborative settings
