Responsible for marketing communications and messaging strategies including writing and editing effective and creative copy for a wide range of materials in support of the university's marketing and communications strategies. This position is also responsible for contributing to and maintaining "the voice" or verbal expression of the university's brand.

Duties include creating persuasive communications and imaginative storytelling content for multiple marketing and communication platforms including print, web, and social media. The position works closely with other Office of University Communications team members including news and digital content, university marketing and brand services, and the university-wide network of communications professionals to inspire and collaborate.

Ensures a consistent, professional, and long-term collaborative strategy with university-wide network of marketing and communications professionals serving various colleges and divisions.
Collaborates with stakeholders to provide alignment between the university’s marketing objectives and departmental deliverables. Enforces standards set by the university.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience directly related to the duties of this job; or high school diploma/equivalent and six years of experience in the same. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

Knowledge of copy-writing to develop content to deliver positive and impactful marketing messages in print publications, web, social media and media advertising
Demonstrable track record and familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in the copy-writing field.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.Pay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
