Job Summary:

The EmployeeDevelopment Trainer reports to the Director of Employee Development.Responsibilities include developing and delivering training for administrativesystems, software applications, and soft skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deliver training sessions on professional development and soft skill topics, administrative systems, and software applications.

Provide one-on-one assistance to all college employees.

Develop and maintain appropriate resources including training manuals, job aids and tutorials.

Act as a subject matter expert to Employee Development and to other departments to establish and implement instructional design standards.

Incorporate instructional design methodology into employee professional development offerings.

Partner with staff and administrators to offer a variety of training activities through Employee Development.

Participate on committees as appropriate, as a means to gather and integrate information as it relates to the development and training of the administrative systems and software applications.

Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s in Training and Development, Adult Education, or Instructional Technology preferred.

Two years related experience in education, training, or curriculum development. Instructional design and curriculum development experience highly preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of application software, including word processing, database, spreadsheets, presentation, browser and communications software.

Experience with e-learning software preferred.

Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.
