General Summary of Position:

The Senior Enrollment Analyst is the lead data analyst for the division of Online, Graduate, and Professional Studies. The analyst is responsible for developing, gathering, and presenting data metrics for the division as well as establishing enrollment and program profile information, and enrollment analyses. The Senior Enrollment Analyst supports a fast-paced unit and will be involved in analyzing data from the entire student journey (prospect/lead through graduation). S/he enables graduate and undergraduate teams to set effective strategies in marketing and recruitment areas by analyzing the campaigns against defined KPI’s, and helps the division improve student services by providing various analyses including retention analyses. The Analyst collaborates closely with colleagues across the University to gather, understand, and analyze institutional data to support decision-making within the division.

Core functions of the position include: establishing and maintaining data metrics for the division, data analysis, marketing/recruitment analysis, and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years relevant experience or Master’s degree with 5-7 years relevant experience
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a business or data analyst included in the above experience
  • Experience with higher education data and enrollment management concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to understand various data structures and common methods in data extraction, cleaning, and transformation
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate the needs of various units, and provide research and analytics to support those needs
  • Detail oriented, exceptional attention to accuracy
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into useful information that can be used in decision-making
  • Operates a variety of software packages for data management, statistical analysis, and graphics
  • Additional Considerations:

  • Experience with a CRM system, specifically querying, and writing reports and dashboards
  • Experience writing SQL code to query databases
  • Proficiency with Tableau Desktop reporting platform
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Takes initiative to learn and investigate data and systems across campus, and to notify leadership of problems identified with data sources and/or data calculations that impact divisional operations
