Job Description

The Executive Assistant supports the North Las Vegas Campus VP/Provost in all areas of day-to-day operations, and with presentations and project management as needed. Essential functions include keeping VP/Provost's calendar, scheduling meetings with internal and external constituents, preparing correspondence, making travel arrangements, preparing meeting agendas, recording, preparing and distributing minutes as needed, determining appropriate access to VP/Provost for internal and external visitors & callers, keeping relevant files, maintaining necessary records, submitting monthly mileage, monitoring/managing budgeted accounts, reviewing and verifying documents submitted for VP/Provost's signature. The position puts systems in place to ensure organized, timely, efficient operation, so the VP/Provost is free to give attention to high-level, strategic matters. Additionally, at the direction of the VP/Provost, this position will research, analyze, compile data, make recommendations, prepare reports and/or presentations, and develop written and web-based communication such as newsletters, the campus website, and social media platforms.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college and/or university and three years' experience supporting a high-level executive or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Direct experience in Workday ERP, bilingual, NSHE experience.
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
  • Possess excellent written, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic web management and social media platforms.
