Monday-Friday with some weekend events. Flexible schedule options based on departmental program’s needs. On-call employee to respond to inquiries 24/7 made by the College community.

Basic Function

Under the direction of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion this person will promote the College mission, strategic priorities, and overall functions of the department by participating in the delivery of sexual assault prevention programs to students [bystander intervention programs, Title IX training sessions, and related prevention and education programs, both on and off campus.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidates will:
•Work with students, staff, and faculty on the campus-based Title IX committee.
•Serve disproportionately affected communities by developing, coordinating, and assessing gender-based discrimination and sexual misconduct prevention efforts that are culturally competent and responsive.
•Help develop, organize, and conduct theory-driven and evidence-based prevention and awareness programs and training about sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual harassment and stalking, and positive intervention, including bystander intervention.
•Develop campus-wide prevention and awareness events and exhibitions for Awareness Months, bystander programming, workshops, performances, and training that effectively include people of diverse socio-economic, racial/ethnic, international, and LGBTQIA+ populations.
•Serve as a confidential resource and advocate for students affected by sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and/or stalking, and other forms of gender and power-based violence.
•Serve as an on-call employee at times, as assigned by the Assistant Director and Title IX Coordinator, to respond to student emergencies 24/7.
•Recruit, train, and coordinate the activities of student Peer Specialists.

Minimum Qualifications

•Master’s degree preferred in public health, nursing, psychology, social work, or a related social or behavioral science.
•One (1) year of experience in:
oConducting prevention education and bystander intervention programs addressing discrimination, sexual misconduct, relationship violence, stalking, bullying on the basis of sex or gender, and issues related to diversity, and equity.
oResearching, developing, scheduling, conducting, documenting, and assessing training programs.
•An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
•Demonstrated skills in interpreting federal and state equal opportunity and non‐discrimination laws and regulations, including Title IX.
•Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish collaborative partnerships across the institution and peer institutions.
•Experience successfully managing confidential and sensitive situations with diplomacy and excellent judgment and to act calmly and objectively.
•Skills to used a personal computer effectively for documentation, maintaining records, and scheduling.
•Flexibility to respond to periodic on-call emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working at a residential college campus is desirable.
