Technical Assistant - Learning Commons
Position Title: Technical Assistant - Learning Commons
Bachelor’s degree in ComputerScience or related field OR Associate’s degree in Computer Science or relatedfield and two years of experience supporting retention software implementationrequired.
Provides skilled assistance to students,faculty, professional, and administrative staff in retention related programsor projects. The work is performed undergeneral supervision.
Manages the Learning Commons’ operational communications;
Maintains Adjunct faculty mail folders and mail distribution in the Learning Commons;
Schedules student requests for the study rooms;
Schedules faculty request for the use of the iTeach lab;
Provides technical support and consultation for the Starfish retention system in collaboration with the Starfish administrator;
Collects and analyzes data for retention initiatives as they relate to Starfish usage and outcomes;
Creates purchase requisitions for the Learning Commons;
Initiates payroll authorization for the Learning Commons;
Approves payroll submissions for part time tutors;
Maintains and orders supplies for Learning Commons;
Performs other duties related to the job description and as assigned by the Assistant Dean of STEM and Director of the Learning Commons
