Job Details
SCAD seeks a Title IX Investigator for the university and all SCAD locations to investigate complaints of violation of the Savannah College of Art and Design Sex-Based Discrimination, Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Policy. In this role, you will assist in resolving complaints of sexual discrimination, sexual harassment and sexual misconduct, including stalking and intimate partner violence involving undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff at the university. You will work closely with SCAD policy noted above to conduct investigations of complaints filed by students, faculty and staff.
Acting as a neutral party, the Title IX Investigator will conduct a prompt and thorough investigation to provide a detailed, unbiased report regarding its findings. The ideal candidate has knowledge of the complexities surrounding investigations in an educational setting. He or she has exceptional critical thinking, the ability to evaluate results and facilitate resolution of difficult challenges as well as write concise, logical, analytical reports to convey complex issues. With exceptional skills in conflict resolution, problem-solving techniques, interviewing and investigation, the Title IX Investigator is sensitive to the needs of others, able to maintain neutrality and work under stress during the assessment and negotiation of complex, highly sensitive situations. Experience investigating cases of interpersonal violence preferred.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree with two years of professional experience conducting administrative investigations
•Experience working in higher education and investigating cases in a university setting
•Ability to establish and maintain professional and productive working relationships with staff at all levels at the university
•ATIXA Level II or higher Civil Rights Investigator training
