General Description

Delaware County Community College, a competency-based institution, committed to diversity and the Business, Computing and Social Science Division seeks Sociology instructors to teach several courses during the 2019 fall semester.


These courses may include: -

  • Introduction to Sociology,
  • Research Methods in the Social Sciences,
  • Social Problems,
  • Marriage and the Family,
  • Experience in Diversity,
  • Race and Immigration.

These courses will be offered during the day and/or evening hours and at more than one campus. In addition, the Sociology faculty will meet several times throughout the academic year. The semester begins on August 26th, 2019.

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires a Master's in Sociology (a Ph.D. degree in Sociology preferred). In. addition, teaching experience at the college level preferred.

Pennsylvania Act 153 Clearances
Applicants are required to either present to human resources current and valid PA Act 153 clearances or be able to obtain them expediently.
