DescriptionThe Studio School is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Production Office and Social Media Coordinator. This position works in tandem with the Production Office Coordinator to manage the scheduling and budgets of student film projects, events and live productions.

Major Responsibility Areas:

MRA #1. STUDENT PROJECTS: Responsible for coordinating Freshman and Sophomore Projects.

Duties: Work with underclassman and faculty to ensure that their class film shoots are compliant with school policies and procedures.

Assists with procurement of film locations, permits and equipment rentals. This will require a lot of follow up with students and faculty making sure that all paperwork for shoots are submitted in a timely manner.

Works with insurance company to create certificates of insurance for productions and/or vendors.

Acts as a liaison between Academic and Operations Departments, and the production office.

Manages, along with Production Coordinator, the daily classroom calendar and production schedules.

Assists Operations/Productions with the ongoing LA Center Studios interface and relationship management.

Interacts with students in a professional manner focused on maximizing student satisfaction with their academic experience.

Works efficiently to minimize disruption to other faculty responsibilities and the student academic experience.

MRA #2. CLASSROOM SCHEDULES: Work with Production Coordinator to ensure that all classroom spaces are scheduled effectively.

Before each semester begins, work with Production Coordinator to make sure that classrooms are scheduled effectively according to Academic schedules.

MRA #3. SOCIAL MEDIA: Leads in the production of, in cooperation with appropriate academic personnel and subject to the approval of compliance personnel, weekly social media posts showcasing the Los Angeles campus and its programs. Preferred platforms to include Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. Must ensure all posts adhere to applicable College policy, accreditation standards and state and federal regulations pertaining to representations.

RequirementsJob Requirements: The following job requirements represent minimum levels of education, experience and competencies/abilities needed to perform this job successfully:

1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.

2. Experience/Skills:
• Minimum of 2 years of film, television and/or live production experience.
• Knowledge of set and production office procedures.
• Working knowledge of Movie Magic budget and scheduling.
• Knowledge of producing for film and live events.
• Experience in overseeing general set and office safety protocols

3. Competencies: Incumbent must (be) able to:

• Practice excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills, with meticulous attention to detail

• Work days and some evenings and Saturdays if/when required.
• Attend meetings and training events.

4. Physical and Mental Requirements:

Physical Requirements: This job requires normal physical mobility, including the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Normal hand-eye coordination; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and lift up to 40 pounds, is also required.

Mental Requirements: This job requires the ability to read, recall, write and understand information. This job also requires the ability to work under moderate pressure and to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Environment: This job is normally performed in a clean, well-lighted, heated and cooled office area/classroom.
