Job FieldThe Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time teaching stream position in the MN Nurse Practitioner Program.  The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an expected start date of January 1, 2020, or shortly thereafter.  
The Faculty welcomes applications from licensed nurse practitioners with demonstrated excellence in teaching in a range of classroom, online, and practice settings and expertise in adult or primary health care nursing. All applicants must hold licensure as a nurse practitioner (adult, paediatric or primary healthcare). Applicants with recent clinical nursing practice and/or academic leadership experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates will hold at least a Masters degree in nursing. A PhD or equivalent in nursing or a related discipline is preferred. 

Evidence of excellence in teaching and pedagogical inquiry must be demonstrated in a dossier of prior teaching experience that includes teaching accomplishments, a statement of teaching philosophy, sample syllabi, and course evaluations, submitted as part of the application, as well as through strong endorsements from referees of high international standing reflecting on both the candidate’s teaching and commitment to excellent pedagogical practices. Teaching-related scholarship should be evidenced by publications in field-relevant journals, or forthcoming publications and presentations at conferences.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
